BofA Nixes Debit Card Overdraft Fees

Date: Tue, Mar 9, 2010

Bank of America has decided that it will stop charging overdraft fees on debit card purchases as of this summer, a decision that will cut off millions of dollars worth of income for the financial giant. This change follows the September 2009 limit to the number and amount of overdraft charges that could be incurred in a single day. This move means that customers will be declined if they attempt to use their debit card when they have insufficient funds, rather than facing a hefty overdraft fee. The change may have come after months of political debate over these types of fees, [...]

Chad Pennington Back with the Dolphins

Date: Mon, Mar 8, 2010

Chad Pennington has a history of bouncing back from serious shoulder injuries. He’ll try to do that once again in 2010 after re-signing with the Miami Dolphins. The 33-year-old led the Dolphins to the playoffs in 2008 but was only able to play three games in 2009 before requiring shoulder surgery for the third time. In 2010, expect Pennington to be the Dolphins’ backup quarterback behind Chad Henne. Henne filled in last year for Pennington and played increasingly well as the season progressed. With Pennington back on the roster, that means QB Tyler Thigpen will likely move to another team. The third [...]
