Paris!

Soooooooo, I'm in Paris now. Got here two days ago. Was awesome driving in the taxi on the way to the hotel. Driving down the champs elysée all covered with blinking blue neon lights on both sides of the road and lot and lots of decorations. Real christmas spirit...

Was a good start of the trip. The second day here consisted mostly of interviews and press. Got time to do some shopping as well which was cool, but the weather was real shitty so it wasnt too exciting walking from store to store. Today I went on a boat trip with some french tv crew that were filming me for some kind of documentary... wtf, who the hell would wanna watch me anyway? I didnt really see the point but i went along for the ride. At least we got to see a lot of the tourist attractions and the other side of the city. Also played in a 5k euro buy in at the Aviation Club (which is amazing btw... such a great athmosphere) I screwed up in that after taking a beat early on, but whatever... I'm in paris so i couldn't care less.

The European Poker Player awards were tonight as well and I was nominated in three cathegories:

'Rookie of the year'
'Leading female player of the year' and
'Best performace of the year'.

Ending up winning the last one. Kinda surprised because thats the one i least expected to win, but hey! At least I won one :)

Now I have 3 days off to just spend money and check out Paris. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I have been pestering Betfair to give me my own tournament for my blog readers and they have finally given in. For lots of people my $200 freezeout tournament is too big of a buy in so I have got a $1 tournament set up with a $1000 guarantee from Betfair...

This is good value for the lower stakes players. If I can get more than about 400 players then we might have the tournament every week. I will be in Paris at the European Poker awards and the Euro Finals of Poker when it is on but I will try and play if I can.

A little of everything...

For those who dont know... PLO is the most addicting game ever. I've been playing a lot of 5-10, 10-20 on various sites and doing fairly well...

Not up a whole lot, but feel like the games are beatable, so I will definately keep playing as long as I dont hit a major downswing (which can easily happen in plo lol). If anyone has seen me play please chime in with positive or negative criticism as I'm always trying to learn as much as I can.

I just got to Oslo today. Had a meeting with my manager and my other manager from Betfair. Talked some about upcoming stuff. Will be heading over to Finland (Helsinki) tomorrow to do some promos and interviews.

Had a deep run in both the Sunday Million and the 750k on Fulltilt on Sunday but managed to screw up with 100 left or so in both. Still pissed about that as I've never gotten that deep in any of them before. Hopefully it wont be the last time.

Looking forward to EPT Prague and will post a lot from that tournament when I get back and hopefully some before that as well.

A bad day...

Ever had one of those days ... where u just wanna bang ur head against the wall and wish u were somewhere else?

When u get frustrated by every single single negative thing that happens around u even if it doesnt affect you in any way? I'm usually very mentally strong and it takes a LOT to make me blink, but something happened today, and I dont know what. Got plenty of PMs and stuff and I just wanted to say GTFO to everyone and all the silly questions, but managed to pull myself together and give them a polite answer at the end. The LHE FTOPS tourney on fulltilt didnt make things better. Lol seriously, I'll happily sign a petition for LHE to be removed from all poker sites forever. Hope the $2500 tomorrow treats me better. If not I'll probably end up taking Sunday off just to make sure I dont play when im not motivated.
