The HM Plunge

Date: Tue, Feb 10, 2009 Internet

Well it's only been a month since my last post but oh well. This won't be very long but just thought id let everyone know I'm still playing the 50NL games and been fooling around with Holdem Manager. Decided to dish out the 80USD and buy it.

So far program is pretty in-depth, more then pokertrackerV2 anyway which is what I was using. I've only begun to fool around with HM and I might look for some custom Pokerstars 6 max layouts soon.

It took me awhile to decide between HM and PokerTrackerV3 I think its called. It's only money anyway, why am i worrying?

In hockey news the leafs seem to be going for the suck just enough to miss a good draft pick card like they have the past 2 years. I hope something good happens at the trade deadline. I really do think as long as there Goalie plays well.....which is iffy lately. There D is fine and just need about 1-2 people who can score and a play maker. Too bad to get those spots they need to give up D. Or wait and get free agents.

Strippers, Hockey and Poker

Date: Sat, Jan 10, 2009 Internet

Hockey is cutting into my poker playing again but shit happens. Leafs/Philly game then to watch the old Swede in Vancouver's game. Hopefully Sundin has a good game since the media sure is having a field day with him. Last game he was in the penalty box for an important goal against so it's obviously his fault they lost according to the amazing journalists for which I'm not even sure watched the game. The guy needs a few weeks to get going and especially will show his stuff in the playoffs. With Luongo back in net and Sundin on fire in the playoffs like he usually is I'm sure Vancouver has a good chance to take the cup this year. I'd still put the Sharks/Detroit ahead of them but if your a betting man Vancouver's odds would be so much better.

I've been hesitating to watch Zombie Strippers but watched it finally last night. Saw some mixed reviews on it around the 6/7 mark and I like zombie movies. I'd give it a 6.5/10 personally. I thought it was quite hilarious at some parts laughing out loud but I have a different kind of humor then most. Movies like Napoleon Dynamite and Borat are on my most hated list and I end up liking movies with stripping zombies duking it out. Messed up but I'm hopefully not alone on my movie picks.

I played a few small tournaments the past few days because I just wasn't in the 'cash' mode. I've been watching videos at Pokersavvy about low limit cash games and they are quite well done. Most of the info is beginner stuff since it's the low limits but the advanced cash section games look to be good. Games of 25/50NL short handed I found very entertaining. I'll dish out a big review of the site after my month membership is over to let everyone know what I think. So far it looks like a decent site to help improve your game.

The plan for Sunday is watch poker videos, play some video games and try my hands at a few small tournaments in the afternoon and some cash at night. Cash at night might be replaced by going to a movie but I'm still on pace to get my platinum star with ease. Now to just start playing hard this upcoming week.

Hockey and Movies/TV

Date: Thu, Jan 8, 2009 Internet

Watching hockey and movies isn't poker but it's still fun. I will eventually hit the felt this month, hopefully within the next few days. Cleaned up the desk and updated software/drivers on my computer. Now some quick reviews on the movies I've watched the past few days.
Dirty Harry (Two-Disc Special Edition)
Rating: 9/10. Clint Eastwood is one of my favorite actors/directors and this is a classic I've never seen it before so thought I had to watch it. Will be watching the rest of the series within the upcoming weeks.
Resident Evil: Degeneration
Rating: 6/10. I've been a Resident Evil fan for quite some time. I've played the video games and liked all the movies. They had flaws to say the least but were entertaining and I knew what to expect going to see them which was Milla Jovovich killing some zombies and looking good while doing it. This movie was a change going to the graphics world and no Milla. I was sad but still enjoyed the movie. The animation was decent but could have been better.
American Teen DVD
Rating:4/10. Pretty boring movie in my opinion and not much happened. I gave it a 4 since I thought some might like for some of views it tries to get across. More of a time waster then a trilling popcorn movie.
Sukiyaki Western Django
Rating: 6.5/10. This movie is meant to be so bad it's good. At least I think that was the aim. I watched the English version but I hear the Japanese version with subtitles English would be better. This movie in my eyes is a spoof of the classic westerns and Kill Bill. Good to watch if you don't mind blood in movies and like movie spoofs like Shaun of the Dead.

Finished watching some television shows as well.
Blood Ties (2006 TV Series)
Rating: 7.8/10. This is my current workout show since it's a good length. I find it entertaining but I think it could have been better. Currently watching season 2 now. If you like police shows and supernatural stuff I'd recommend this.
Shinreigari/Ghost Hound
Rating: 6/10. This show brings a bit of every genre into it. Drama, Horror, Mystery, Psychological and Supernatural yet I almost never completed watching it except for the fact that I thought it was just about to "get good". It never did get as good as I hoped and got slightly bored mid way so this deserves a 6 from my quick review.

As writing this review I'm watching my sad to say favorite team for life the Toronto Maple Leafs get spanked by Montreal and after the game I'm going to try and work on Call of Duty 4 and try to complete it. I've almost completed the game before but reformatted and never saved the progress. If only I knew steam had the backup options then. Still a great game though going for a few second play though.

Bought a new phone. Motorola W370 was cheap and has a good battery life. Won't be taking pictures anymore,I hardly use that option so the $130 option was the second choice and went with the $80. This could have been all avoided if I had just kept the phone out of the washing machine but who would have guessed that's not the correct way to clean a phone.

The next post will be bringing to you poker content so keep your figures crossed.

Motivation and Goals

Date: Tue, Jan 6, 2009 Internet

Canada won gold and my friends and I had a fun night. Hockey is big in Canada and especially when the countries play it gets the whole bars into it. Mainly because we're all cheering for the same team.

I've outlined my goals for 2009. As a previous post of my goals for 2008, they are almost identical yet have more meaning. My mind is in a different state then it was a year ago and I feel confident about hitting most of these goals.

Poker Goals
------------

Play more poker: This is the goal which will affect my income the most and I need to get to putting in the hours so I can prove to myself that I can commit to playing poker. Like most things in life once I get into a rhythm the hours will come more naturally. The hard part is just starting.

Get motivated: If I don't play cards and just do nothing I will eventually run out of money. This should be motivation enough - I Hope. My real motivation is that I've committed myself to sink or swim. I don't care if I lose at poker anymore, I just want see if I'm capable at winning.

Money: You can't live without money. I want to head to Vegas this year so that is a side goal of mine. I won't be going if I can't afford the trip so hopefully I could have a few winning months and afford to cashout and play some cards live. I've been invited to join some friends from the States in about 2-3 months. I doubt I'll have enough money to spare for that trip but I'm not ruling it out completely.

Supernova on PokerStars: This is very achievable if I just play 100 hours a month. The stakes will make a big difference so depending on what I'm playing it will be sooner or later. Having hit Goldstar last month makes this much easier. I should be able to push for Platinum this month as long as I keep at least break-even.

Personal Goals
---------------

The Blog: When I'm not playing cards I don't feel the need to blog. Hopefully by playing more I blog more. The blog won't be just about poker content as I will talk about other things I do. This should help with readers boredom as well as my own.

Read: Although it feels like I have much free time, time feels scarce at the same time. I will commit myself to start reading again. I do enjoy reading novels about adventure and supernatural as well as many other topics. I just have to set myself the time at night to read and I should be able to achieve my reading goals.

Writing Skills: I don't have any English degree and don't really even remember the key parts of writing an essay anymore from school. Hopefully that doesn't hurt my blogging that much since I practically type how I talk. Which is the way a blog should be. No one wants to hear some boring fellow talk about crap all day.

Get Fit: Now, this is by far my most important goal for this year again as least. Playing World of Warcraft , Poker and going out drinking and eating at many restaurants is not the healthiest lifestyle. I have stared a daily workout schedule and have been keeping up with it except for the whole Christmas/New Years time period. Being unhealthy is such a problem in today's world with all the health problems happening and being fit is one of the best ways to avoid most of the problems. I also now have to get fit for my plans of going back to school. As it stands now I'm interested in law enforcements fields so I can't be out of shape for those jobs eating donuts and coffee all day.

World of Warcraft: I've had to make this a goal for myself since it is hard not playing a game I've invested so many hours into. Now aside from logging in a friends account for a few hours during the year, I hope I can withhold from buying/leveling a new account myself. Blizzard has made this temptation quite easy lately since I dislike the game as it is now. Eventually it will get better and hopefully by that time I have no need/temptation to play WoW anymore. It does help that most of my friends quit. Now I don't hear talk about WoW anymore and feel like I'm missing out.

Not quite sure if I'm playing cards tonight. Might be watching a movie/working out then starting to read a book. At the very least I'm getting Platinum this month. I don't think it will take long once I start playing.

Roller Coaster Ride

Date: Mon, Jan 5, 2009 Internet

I've never been too exited about roller coaster's at the fair or any big event. That still didn't stop myself from going on them since I wanted to have the same experience of everyone else. Sure it was fun and I loved the feeling of free falling for the rush. At the end of December I was pushing for goldstar rating and had my poker related free fall.

In the 50NL games on the 29th of December I played roughly 9,000 hands in about 8 hours. I played sessions of 4 hours and it felt good being able to get that large amount of hands played since it makes 50,000 hands a week a large possibility in the near future. The downside was that I lost 9 buyins or about $450 in that day. Now that is nowhere near my highest lost financially for playing poker since I was playing very large stakes a few years ago yet 9 buyins for the day would be one of the worse I can remember. I think I lost 12 buyins at 100NL in an afternoon before yet made it back during the evening. Although I lost I wasn't that worried since I thought I was playing decent. The thing that sucked was that I was now forced to drop down to the 25NL games and play in the kid pool. Now since bankroll management is the most important aspect of poker in the long run you need to eat your pride and follow what you know is best so you don't end up broke.

The following day I ventured into the 25NL games for 9 hours and almost 10,000 hands. Saying I was on a hot streak would be an understatement. I killed the game for about 16 buyins to the good and banked $400. Now if only I had won 16 buyins at 50NL I'd be more of a happy person. I was making all the right calls, being aggressive and the play at 25NL is quite horrible which is expected. The players are about the same style of play as 50NL yet they aren't as disciplined and tilt more.

I played a few tournaments and cashed but nothing big. I haven't played since January hit but I've been quite busy with friends before they go back out of town and watching the Canadian hockey games. Which is what the plan is tonight. Sweden vs Canada for the gold medal in world juniors. The last game which Canada played Russia was absolutely amazing. If you know about hockey and haven't heard of the game something is wrong with you. Canada tied it up with 5 seconds to play in regulation and ended up winning in a shootout. I should get back to playing cards tomorrow evening and hopefully I can continue my winning streak. I'd rather not have anymore roller coaster experiences but I won't complain if its an upward swing only. Go Canada! Also changed around the blogs color's and cleaned it up. Let me know what you think.

Odd jobs and some cards

Date: Sun, Jan 4, 2009 Internet

Since last February I can say that I've had 4 jobs. Now all these are not your household jobs and some people can't even understand how it would be possible to do these kind of jobs and make a profit. That in itself is one of the reasons I like weird jobs, it's more fun.

Job 1: I did play some cards so I'll count that as my first job. While I was playing I had some resumes sent out and was doing decent until I hit a fairly bad losing streak then the phone rang about a insurance job.

Job 2: Now this insurance job was a door to door sales approach trying to sell accident and sickness insurance. Before I could jump into getting on peoples nerves and getting guns pointed at me, I had to take a 4 week training course near Toronto where they sent me to a hotel for those weeks. Living out of a hotel without a car was interesting. There wasn't much to do but most of the people at the course stayed at the hotel also so it make time go by faster. Then I got back into Sudbury and ready to sell sell sell insurance. They pretty much tried to weld my mind with PMA - Positive Mental Attitude is what they called it. Some of you probably know now what company I worked for so I'll leave y'all to guess. I pretty much thought the course and the trainers were a joke. They wanted us to study every night for hours and be once again, high on PMA. The main annoyance were the other members of the course. Now I've never been a really 'book smart' kind of guy since I really don't like or care to study since I end up passing fine without but some of the people in the course acted like retards. They couldn't grasp easy concepts, asked basic questions over and over and argued over points which were pointless and wasted time. So that was the training part, for selling in Sudbury there was some major traveling required. The downside - expenses/gas/hotel are all out of your own pocket which really blows. I worked about 30-40minutes away for the first few weeks then went on a road trip. Now on the job trip I realized how much this job sucked. Actually, I figured that out during training yet I just confirmed it. Your going door to door selling insurance yet it gets dark outside at like 6-7 and you want to start at like 10-11. So that's about 8 or so hours of selling. Only downside is that about 80% of people work during those hours, get home at around 5-6 and don't want to be bothered. So I eventually ended up quiting the job before my trial period was over so they were pissed but probably understood it. The other reasons I quit were because doing this job in winter would have to be a qualification for world's worse jobs.
Job 3: The 3rd job I was involved with was a more self-employed type of job that I pretty much just fell into. Since I was playing World of Warcraft so much and quit multiple times and sold accounts I started to get some reputation on multiple forums and ending up leveling/buying/selling/re-selling/and trading accounts. This would drive a sane man mad sometimes as there is a shitload of scams in this industry and it took me a few failed attempts I guess to learn the whole process on how to verify and do a successful transaction but I got it down and did this for some time. I sure wasn't making loads of money doing it but I was playing WoW and making money.

Job 4: I worked night shift as a stocker at the local Wally mart. Now this was more of just a temp time killer position and I thought id make some okay cash doing it since money is more during nights, I could walk to work and had zero expenses for this job. Only bad part was that it was before Christmas season and they had the same holiday music playing over and over. It's the fucking night shift people! I though I was going to nuts after the 1st week. The job was really easy, take boxes/unpack boxes/store shit on shelves. The other parts were setting up merchandise and face lifting shelves which was bringing shit from the back to the front. Now I hated all aspects of these for the main reason of boring repetition and felt kind of sad that I was doing a monkey's job. Now I have no problems of people actually doing this job since it does have to get done but my gawd personally I need more of a challenge so time doesn't go by so slow and drive me nuts. I didn't actually mind the merchandising parts though, if only I could just do that. The people with years experience were doing that mainly though. I don't see how you could work here for years but shit some people had 10+years. Make some money and go to school once you have enough saved is what I think these jobs are for. So as you could tell I didn't last much longer and quit around 2 weeks. So now that I was unemployed again I started playing World of Warcraft again since the expansion Wrath of the Lich King just came out. I leveled up to the max level 80 within about 5 days from my previous 70 druid. I then played a shitload of hours gearing up and beating all the games content. Here is the sad part, no more content was/is scheduled to release for many many months. Blizzard kind of dropped the ball on this one. I ended up just moving to Player vs Player unless new content came out. Yet again blizzard were retards and PvP was now a joke. Long matches were 3 minutes and everything was burst. So I ending up going back to job 3 and selling my account and sold a few of my friends account also since we all had enough of this game.
Poker started to come back into play now since well, the economy sucks for getting a job and most jobs I could get would be shit anyway. I put aside about $1400 for poker and that's what I'm going to be playing with. Like I said in my previous post this is my hit or bust fund. When the money goes I'm done with online poker and I'd only keep playing for a living if obviously I keep moving up limits and making a reasonable wage. I have some plans to go back to school in September and would like to be able to make money with poker until then and make a decision at that point. If I go busto I'll prob have to get a temp job till September which then it would be almost a guarantee of going back to school unless for some reason I get lucky and pickup a real good job in this economy. My plans are to drop down to $25NL short handed whenever I'm around $1000 and hopefully keep up in the $50NL games until about $2500-3000.

That's a quick summary of jobs and my plans for the near future anyway. I'll talk more about cards in the next post about how I've been doing so far and some short terms goals.

2008 goals achieved?

Date: Thu, Jan 1, 2009 Internet

Now that 2008 is over and its been a long time since I posted a blog I thought I'd let everyone know just how my 2008 was.
Poker Goals: Play more poker - Fail: Yeah I failed miserably on this. Things came up which then went into failing another goal for 2008 which was being motivated. I just didn't want to play cards and couldn't motivate myself to do so. Another goal I had was to bank millions. Well....maybe not millions but bank some cash anyway. Although this never had to be from my poker income, I failed at this also. Last but not least, supernova - failed. Hard to hit vip ratings when I don't play cards.

So the poker goals crashed and burned. I'd like to say I have the excuse of going to med school and just not having much time to do anything but studying for being a doctor since that is my new goal but in all reality It was a combination of being lazy, other work and last but not least, the pain in my side for such a very long time which has cost me thousands? of hours - World of Warcraft.

Personal Goals: Read a bunch of books and expand my mind - fail. Hard to read books if you don't commit yourself these days with so many other distractions around. Improving my writing I guess would be a neutral effect since I haven't blogged but still communicate online typing a fair bit. At least its not a fail! The most important goal I had for myself was to get fit for 2008. Although I'm not going to be on a Bowflex commercial anytime soon, I have changed my eating habits and am doing exercise on a frequent basis so I would shoot this goal down as in progress but on the right track. Now my last goal was to learn french. I must of been smoking some crack since I don't see that happening anytime soon. To eventually learn french I'd have to have enough extra cash to spend to take a course, find the time and motivate myself to successfully pickup the language. I'd say possible goal by 2010. Lets put it up there with that new Chevy commercial with the Volt I keep seeing and laugh at GM.

So what did I do in 2008? I did do some shit. Worked a couple jobs for a few months yet eventually quit and recently I've moved back to the poker scene. I hit Goldstar finally for December so that should give a nice start for 2009. I'm playing the 50NL/25NL short handed cash games with some money I put aside as a hit or bust fund. This fund is money I've allocated for poker and this is currently my job. When I go busto I'm done with cards online or if I hit it rich maybe you'll see me on TV. In the middle somewhere who knows what will happen but that's some times away. I've never given myself the chance to prove if I can actually make a living at cards by always playing a few hours a month when I should be playing at the very least 100 hours per month. It's not too late to start though the way I'm looking at it so I'll just have to try it out now. Not many jobs out there anyway with the economy.

I wonder what my odds are for keeping up with blog entries for 2009 but I will try my best. In my next few posts I'll talk briefly about the jobs I worked, video games I've played and goals for 2009. Hopefully poker content is involved.

Happy New Year and have a good one.

Note: Added pictures for something to do, if you like it let me know and I'll keep it up.

I'm a Silverstar !

Date: Mon, Feb 4, 2008 Internet

So I've played cards, just not alot. Not much to blog about since I pretty much just playing World of Warcraft, going out to some movies/dinners while catching up with the latest Las Vegas episodes for tv. I also watched the whole Death Note series which was very good.

Hopefully I'll have some more posts about poker later this week since I'll be playing again.

I'm going to hit Goldstar this month, a fairly attainable goal. I also get rewarded by this since I can then use my FPP for a gift certificate to my local electronic store to buy some video games and accessories. Been wanting to try Burnout Paraside, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Forza Motorsport 2 and Naruto: Rise of the Ninja. Probably be renting these during the next few weeks to see if any are worth buying and have a good replay value. If anyone reads this blog and has played these games, feel free to comment on them! Or leave other games you recommend.

Dust off them books

Date: Thu, Jan 3, 2008 Internet

So its January the 3rd and how am I doing for my new years goals so far? Not bad.

I'm writing a blog entry, so that's a plus. Haven't played any meaningful poker yet but I have went through all my books and started reading, here is the order I'll be reading.
1) Poker Nation by Andy Bellin
2) Positively Fifth Street by James McManus
3) Bringing Down The House by Ben Mezrich
4) The Biggest Game In Town by A.Alvarez
5) The Professor, The Banker and the Suicide King by Michael Craig

Almost done Poker Nation, should finish it within a week. I'll write a brief review on each book as I finish it.

On the poker side of things, I should be starting to play Sunday with the weekly tournaments and continue on there grinding some hours of NL Hold'em. I was thinking of playing limit hold'em for awhile and see how tough the games are compared to how they used to be. I'll probably dive into it though only if I'm sucking at NL, since that is where the money is.

Happy New Year, where have I been?

Date: Tue, Jan 1, 2008 Internet

Where have I been?
3 words that sum up that, 'World of Warcraft".

Now, I'm not even sure if anyone reads this anymore but this game is sick. Which I'm sure many people have experienced before it is very addicting. I was in a few end game raiding guilds, had a few level 70 characters I leveled and all had very good gear.

Is it over? No, and I don't plan on quiting anytime soon since I enjoy the game very much. I have quit raiding and sold a few of my characters though and now play more casual over the past few weeks. Hopefully I can keep my hours on the game lowering each week and getting back to poker.

Since its the new year, I thought I'd set some yearly goals and here they are:

Poker Goals
------------

Play more poker: This past year I've hardly touched the virtual felt, mainly just playing when I was running out of money to pay for bills which is really bad. I'd like to hit at the very least 1500 hours this year and hopefully I can blow out 2000+ if I get into a good schedule.

Get motivated: Now one of the reasons I haven't played much cards is that I just don't care about it anymore. Its not like I grinded 100 hours a week for a year and am tired of it, I just don't have the passion to play. Hopefully I can get rolling on a decent streak and start having some fun again and try to enjoy my "job". If I'm not enjoying poker by the end of next year, I'm not going to continue playing it for a living because I don't want to do a job I hate the rest of my life, especially when I'm still very young.

Money in the bank: I've never really had a problem winning at cards, yet I need to start spending less money outside of cards. The entertainment costs and other thing have been more expensive then my income from poker so I need to spend more reasonable compared to what I'm making and save some money in the bank. One of the reasons I'd like to do this is I'm looking forward to playing live at a casino for a month once my roll reaches around $20,000 , which is a very very long time away, but I'd like to be there within the year and I think I can do it no problem if I can keep motivated.

Supernova on PokerStars: I've jumped around some poker sites and am keeping on Poker Stars this year. I hope to make supernova by the end of the year. I'm probably going to be spending my FPP on some gift ceritificates for electronics and the sunday tournaments.

Personal Goals
---------------

The Blog: Yeah, kinda messed up keeping up with the blog. Hopefully this years better. Be nice to get a decent base of readers again, so dont mind pimpin my blog if your reading this : ).

Read: I've always liked reading things that interest me yet I've never hardly read any books. Especially books besides poker. I'd like to finish off my poker collection of books which I haven't touched and then branch out to many other things. I'm bored of the strategy books since most of its the same shit over and over but I love the books about people making it, or taking their shot and failing.

Writing Skills: Now you can probably tell by reading this blog, I'm not the best writer in the world, so hopefully by posting a few times a week, hopefully daily once I start playing more by the end of the year I can see a good improvement in my writing skills.

Get Fit: Now, this is by far my most important goal. Playing World of Warcraft , Poker and going out drinking and eating at many restaurants is not the healthiest lifestyle. I need to start a daily workout schedule and stick to it. If I fail all of my goals this year but pass this one, I'd still consider the year a success. Being unhealthy is such a problem in today's world with all the health problems happening and being fit is one of the best ways to avoid most of the problems.

Learn French: Now some people will think I've hit my head against a hard wall like object on this one. Yet if the poker is going good this year, I want to concentrate on learning French and if that goes well, maybe some other languages. I always have a weird respect and I guess jealously to people who can speak multiple languages. It just makes many more options in the world open up to you and even if it never helps in a job in my life, at least I can call people names in different languages!

Well that's all for the post, hopefully I'll get another post up in a couple days, by the middle of the month I hope to have the blog going again steady, as well as playing poker again. I've said this before, but hopefully I can keep up with it this time, since I think writing in the blog will help motivate me to play more poker.

Back to the bread and butter

Date: Mon, Oct 2, 2006 Internet

I haven't had much time to play lately, yet during that time at the limit tables, I've been getting in the negative almost every session. After all those bad beats and suckouts, it surely cost me to lose a few bets along the way. My limit experience is now over, I'm going to put it behind me and go back to no limit.

Why did I ever leave no limit? Well if you look at all the numbers, limit with playing more tables at a time and making more rakeback, 1/bb an hour is all that is needed to make a fair wage. If I kept playing limit, I am confident I could turn it around, by grinding my way through the slump, yet I lost the main reason why I started playing poker. That main reason is to have fun. Limit just feels like I'm dead in-front of the computer clicking the mouse for hours on hours, having the same situations come up over and over again. Its just not for me, I don't think it ever was. I was just moving to limit because I thought I could make more money at it and progress through the limits faster. Having lost for the past few weeks might be a positive spin on my poker career. If I had won and kept playing, maybe years down the road I would quit poker since I had enough of just playing for the money and not the fun.

The next two weeks are going to be busy with college tests and my 19th birthday coming up, so I will hardly hit 10 hours a week. After that time hopefully I can progress to 20hrs+ a week while attending school and keeping a social life.

I'm going to be dropping down to the $50 no limit games. I've never played this low before so hopefully it all works out. I'm giving myself a $600 bankroll for this limit, if I lose that I'll drop down to the $25 no limit games. Hopefully I never get close to that point. My goal is to reach the 2/4 no limit games by next September, I'm looking forward to start playing. I also ordered a few new books and I'll post some reviews on them once I complete the reading.

On a blog note, I'm sorry for not keeping up to date. I'll try to keep posting more on it in the upcoming weeks. The traffic sure hit rock bottom, that was expected. I went from having 80-90 hits per day and 20 returning visitors to 5 hits per day and 1 returning visitor, I guess it could be worse. I'll be removing most of the traffic generator links soon since I idled myself into commission on those. I guess I'll just have to lure the readers in with my amazing insights and poor results. I have tons of blogs to add to the side, I'll get on that later in the week. I'll start doing more posts on poker in general and some non-poker related topics to try and get the blog active again.

For fun, I've played 10 Party Poker Monster Qualifier SNG's the past few days, sticking to the 11 dollar games. I've had 5 top 3 finishes with 2 1st place. Total im down $57, got to love that rake. I do have myself 2 tickets for the weekly Party Poker games now, come Saturday I'll find myself in a pool of donkeys playing for a dream. I can't wait to play.

I'm not dead

Sorry for not posting for the last month, things have been pretty insane. I haven't played any poker since last month, yet I will be starting to play again once I get my money out from Mansion. I received the email telling me that I was verified to cashout, then I went to cashout and it says I still need to show my licence. I talked to their support and sent in another copy of my licence, I should get the money by the end of next week hopefully. In the mean time I've been playing many video games. Over the past month I've played some World of Warcraft, Half Life: Counterstrike and NHL:07. I can't wait to start playing poker again, I can sure use the money right now. I'll be going back to playing the 3/6 full table games with a bankroll around $3000.

I don't think I'll be blogging until I get back to poker since there isn't that much to talk about. Not only that, yet I'm pretty busy with college so I don't have that much spare time to blog. I'm hoping for 10-15 hours a week of poker while attending school. Not quite sure if I can make that goal, considering some days all I want to do is come home and sleep. I'll probably take Wensday off since that is my heaviest school day and try to play 2 hours every other day except the weekends I will hope to get around 3-4 if I don't go out.

Back on the horse

Date: Mon, Jul 31, 2006 Internet

Tomorrow is a new month and I'm going to start blogging and playing poker again. Going to be playing the 3/6 full tables since I never reached my goal for the amount of hands I wanted. My goal for this month is 80 hours of play and I'm hitting for a profit of $4000. I'd like to hit around the 40-50,000 hand mark also for the month. I'll be doing a month in review in a few days of July. It wasn't a great month and when I started winning I had to take a break, yet with $300 in rakeback and a few hundred in blackjack, the month wasn't that bad.
