If you read my last post you know about my idea to crush all micro stakes on Stars in a series of challenges. Variance can skew results in either direction over a small sample, but for the sake of these challenges i will ignore this and base my results on 20 tournaments. Obviously crushing any stakes would mean playing thousands of sit n gos at that level. But that is just not plausible at this
I've been playing extremely poorly over the last few days. I've stacked off terribly in just about every tournament i played. Seemed to be having a focusing problem. Just managed to get my chips in the pot in bad situations... being over aggressive at the wrong times. But i played much better today and managed to win a $4 180 man sng. I made an incredible play that propelled me to the victory in
Haven't really played much in the last few days. Played a two $20 180 man sngs today and was pleasantly surprized at the level of play... really not that much better than the $4 maybe a bit more aggressive, but thats it. You still see people get it in with complete trash. My best finish has been 50th but i will play some more. perhaps a few per week in addition to the $4 180s i normally play. If
Woke up early this morning to get in the $5 MTT FO @ 9am (usually get up around 10ish). Because i have to be at work for 6pm when i'm on the night shift, i like to get all my tournaments started by 10:30 the latest. Unfortunately there are not alot of tournaments starting around this time. The ones that i'd like to play either start 5am - 8am or 12pm and later. So that leaves the $5 FO at 9am
I've signed up with RTR and will join in the latest challenge over there. The challenge will be taking place at fulltilt Entrance: $10 Tournaments: 12 $3 90 man KO sngs End: 5th April Pay out: Challenge winner gets 70% of pool, 2nd place gets 30% of pool Scoring System 90th-81st = 1 Point 80th- 71st = 2 points 70th-61st = 3 points 60th -51st = 4 points 50th -41st = 5 points 40th -31st = 6
I'd like to be able to play tournaments on fulltilt as well as Stars. So i will attempt to build a bankroll similar to my Stars roll. Goal: $2500.00 Starting Broll: $90.00 Estimated completed Time 2-3 months I will mainly be playing low buy in multitable sngs. But will also try the satelites once i build it up a bit. If i recall correctly the 24+2 tournaments were pretty easy to sat into.
Didn't really accomplish much in Febuary... finished with about 216.00 profit. So i'm setting some goals for March. 1. Win a MTT - - I would like to win my first real multi table tournament this month anything over 180+ runners will do. I started Yesterday and got ITM in the 100K guaranted, 51st in a $5 FO and 18th in a $9 360max tournament. All cash finishes but i want to take something down.
I plan on playing a few tournies today. $5 MTT FO @ 1:00pm $11 MTT FO @ 2:05pm $11 100K guarenteed @ 3:30pm 1:45pm Update - - we're nearing the first break in the $5 double stack and i've been very tight so far. Its been a somewhat loose table with one guy seeing at least 80% flops and several others trying to take advantage of that. I havent had any major hands but have managed to stay at my
Haven't been able to play much at all. I'm back in school again, taking a stats course of all things. Considering i haven't been in a class room since 99 perhaps i should've started with something easier. Anyway i've been studying since sunday and had the first interm exam tonight. I'd like to say i'm confident that i passed, but honestly i cant be sure. meh. nothining to do but wait and see...
One of the most important decisions you will make when playing micro stakes sngs, or any poker game for that matter, is which hands to play. Not thinking about the implication of playing certain hands can cost you dearly. You make your hand on the flop only to realize too late that its second best after you've lost your stack. As a micro stake sng player you should always try to play the best
I haven't play much of these this month but i'd say i'm having better results in them this month than last. I've made four final tables so far, 1st,2nd,5th, & 3rd tonight. All of these in the last few days. This report is for the 3rd place finish tonight HOUR ONE - -Strategy My strategy during the 1st hour is to play basic abc poker... for the most part. Be aggressive in any pot i get
Because of the increasing popularity of poker over the past several years there have been a large selection of poker rooms to choose from. When i decide to play at a poker room i try to research several aspects. Software: is the software easy to use or buggy? Game Availability: How often do games start Fish Factor: what is the level of skill in the games i will be playing Bonus'/Loyalty Program
As many of you may have noticed i've changed a few things on the old blog. I haven't played much poker since last Friday when i started this little project. While i had had the idea for some time i just started experimenting and this is what it came to. Blogger doesnt have any three column templates so i had to get in the guts of this one and add some stuff to make it function the way i wanted.
