Awaiting 30 Days Sabbatical

I finally did it. I'm leaving what I'm doing for a job and leaving for good. With it, I will be taking with me a 30 days break. Something I didn't have for a year or two already. Two or three years back since I was laid off when the company decided to close, I was out with nothing. I have to take up any jobs possible, which include handling flyers, asking people around the street if they would want to sign up a new internet package et cetera et cetera. Imagine the thick face me have to go through. During that period, debt added up.

After I landed another job (unrelated), found poker. It seems to be a blessing in disguise. Played with it for a while and it worked for me. The thing I really needed to do was to get out of debt as soon as possible and find some possible sources to make dough. And if can to make it viable enough to replace the job. This will give me more time to see things with better eyes. It is a story I would rather not tell because it is just that complicated.

I could have annoyed some new workmates but in all honesty they are the most fun people I ever come across in a workplace. They might have find me seclusive but there are just so many things in my mind. For now, I'm looking forward to some sleep and waking up naturally.

A State Of Trance 2005 : Listening To Armin Van Buuren

No, it is not Paul Van Dyk with its version of The Other Side. It is ASOT 2005 light and subsequently followed by the dark version. A specifically chosen album because so much happened in 2005. I was not disappointed I bought the original cds now. Pretty much all of my dance collections were from the college years and from the interweb, it was fast in the college ;p. I needed a newer breath of trance. Listening to the old ones repeatedly even if they were good can be stale.

It is timely now as the debt-reign-days are over. So many things happened. So many paths intertwined. So many threads woven together. I would wished certain events never did collide. That I would have forget and let go. But I never did. I never really did give up. If I need to bang my head on the wall to get to the other side, I will do it. Because, ogres even if they were green, have layers too. I give you, Armin Van Buuren : A State Of Trance 2005.

Tasting My First Euro Dough!

I had requested some dough recently, not because I want to but because they no longer want to serve me as a customer. Believe it or not, the dough was transferred all the way from Europe. And it was a good dough. On its way here, it had expanded almost 5.1 times more from its original of 27.46 dough value. It could be they might have used a different weighing scale or maybe their yeast is strong, not exactly sure.

Finally there can be more food on the table for now. A little behind the scenes of the dough making sessions from a privacy-invasive scope revealed there were some ups and downs. And there were more downs in the end. Sadly, the doughs couldn't recover fast enough for me to order more doughs.

Fetish Poker Fantasies

In his fantasies, he was playing foot tug-o-war. It was a lazy saturday morning. Too lazy for something mundane but not for some change in routines. Above all, it was a different day, everyday after fridays. It can't be missed else it will be felt.

A little turn easily find his ways to simple happenings in unexpected places. Wanted to touch it sometimes, the rooms. Needed to know if it's were real. Not just a temporary space. Hardly, it became an attraction too hard to resist. Embedded inside, the feelings grows.

At times, lost for words with only a poker face stay true.

Everytime he was weighing his chances and waiting for the right moment. It never came and escaped. He let go of it for the same reason if he loves someone so badly enough, he learns to let go. Counting the memories, he wondered if he had his chances. What were the odds?

Battling The Giant Planets

Alien invasion has come. Giant planets from the solar system have wagered war against each other and I find myself fighting for my planet, Mercury. Orbiting at lower level, I am hoping to hit 100th kills to receive my 5 stars medal of honour.

In human translation, climbed up to the 100th spot of Pokerstars Sit & Go Tournament Leaderboard and receive 5 dough value. Battling in this lower trenches is dangerous. There are many bugs, flying pikachu and predators lurking around that will call in the dark. Some might even follow you in swarms.

As you can see, the top and last spot from last week needs 582 and 423 scores. I managed to pull my strength and gathered a small score of 144 after 12 games. Still out of range of the 400++ scores needed. The games have been for the fun factor in it. Anyway, this place hit quads so easily that getting full house might not be a safe bet. Pocket aces preflop all-in gotten beaten by straights. Can swear I hear this guy laughing secretly inside. Hoping not meeting any Klingon on the way this week, if am playing.

Gone With Euro08 And Back With APPT!

The amazing race Euro08 had ended and Spain was to end it with a 1-0 victory in the final for them. That is it for some great run of great football for some time to come. Lots of mixed feelings came out of it too. The unbelievable surprise of Netherlands, the sad exit of France, the crazy downward spiral of Netherlands not winning against Russia... bla, bla, bla. Listening to thousands of people chanting was a fun experience only not amplified. It was a tv.

So, it is now time for poker to claim some lives out of me. The APPT is back and Macau beckons you to come pay a visit. APPT for some or Filipino Poker Tour 3 for others. The Philippines are growing crazy again with this. It's like the entire nation from that country is crawling to grab the title. The APPT is going 5 places being China the first country.

Pokerstars having freerolls for the APPT and as always the majority need not be mentioned. The game, which is a freeroll after all, doesn't really need any brain cells, just go all-in all-in all-in. Apparently it was the best move you could ever find. The move is so great it could potentially leave a pro feel like a donk. Are you awl-in?

Euro08 Taking Over Poker Fever

This year's Euro football has been great to watch. Many games from the group stages has been superclass. Some teams failed to make it to final 8 while some showed great team spirit to turn the table. Unmistakenly, Netherlands played incredibly against the odds. Possibly they might have sold their souls to the devil and time had ran out in the quarterfinals. Those goals against France were unbelieavable especially by Arjen Robben at those angle.

1. The draws are up for the semfinals. Germany against Turkey while Russia taking on Spain. Some predictions seemed to be true that Spain, Portugal and Netherlands will be at quarterfinals.
   

2. Uefa.com website has served a lot of euro fans well. Taking scores of all games and make it live. Euro fans can also watch the games from the site. It's like any other job, you don't gamble, you grind it out. Your goal is to win one big bet an hour. That's it. Get your money in when you have the best of it. Protect it when you don't, don't give anything away. That's how I paid my way through half of law school, a true grinder. See I learned how to win a little at a time. But finally I learned this, if your too careful your whole life can become a fucking grind.
