FR Vessant: calls 880 and is all-in

He has Ac6d. I'm going to need to get lucky. I have 10 outs (two Ks, eight diamonds). So I'm 1.6/1.

Uncalled bet (1795) returned to lakid12345
*** TURN *** [Td Ad 3d] [2s]
*** RIVER *** [Td Ad 3d 2s] [3c]

No luck. Ever, actually.

And this will be yet another losing day.

It's things like this that break your heart. His call is terrible but like fucking clockwork, the ace comes on the flop. I have a redraw but they never come in. Earlier, I shoved 87 BvB. The other blind called. He had A9. I flopped a 7 so that was good. He only had 6 outs to resuck. Three out of four times my hand would hold up. This was the fourth. It's always the fourth!

It's now started to affect my play. I can feel that I am off now, making bad plays. (Mostly so scared of being sucked out on that I keep folding out villains, and never play for value, or I assume they are trapping all the time and play moderate hands far too weakly, actually allowing them to suck out.) Okay, so I need to suck it up and concentrate. But it's not easy. I feel like I should be beating this game; the other players are so so bad. But losing all the time makes you feel that you are the bad player, finally getting what you deserve.

I need to stop whining about it. It's not helping. I feel like I'm down a well, yelling for a rope, but there is no rope. You get out of the well eventually, or you go bust.

Six

Date: Sat, Jul 19, 2008 Internet

I already know I won't make the money in my sixth tourney of the day. I've played 2 of 40 hands not in the blinds. TWO! I have 5.5BB at t150. Can't even shove because every pot is opened ahead of me and I haven't had a hand good enough.

Still, I pick up AA and minraise. I'm hoping to fool someone into shoving over, thinking I'm weak. The BB does. KTs and no flush this time.

Then shove over two limpers at t200 with AJ. All fold.

Shove A3s from CO, expecting tight ranges. All fold.

Shove over a minraise with 77. His range is wide (raising 17%) and I expect this to be the bottom end. He folds.

Shove over a 1K shove with AJs. He has A4s and MHIG.

I snapcall shorty's shove at t400 with A4. She has A3. Turn is a 3.

So then I shoved a lot. It's fun when you can get in the groove. And I cruised into the money for once.

HU at t600. So it will pretty much be a question of who gets lucky.

Not me, obv:

Why I'm losing

Date: Sat, Jul 19, 2008 Internet

But bad beats are not why I'm losing; this is why I'm losing:

PokerStars Game #18947327156: Tournament #96699387, $10+$1 Hold'em No Limit - Level IV (50/100) - 2008/07/19 - 20:13:43 (ET)

jrrancher: folds

So I have to fold.

These hands make up those small percentages. If he limps and I shove over and make him fold, I increase my stack decently and may do well.

Then, on my next blind:

PokerStars Game #18947390608: Tournament #96699387, $10+$1 Hold'em No Limit - Level V (75/150) - 2008/07/19 - 20:16:48 (ET)

jrrancher: folds
djr3: folds
FR Vessant: raises 820 to 1120 and is all-in

So I push over. He should fold a fair bit, and when he doesn't, I expect to have the right end of a race.

ballaking132: calls 820

I'm right. He has A9 and I have the right end of a race...

*** FLOP *** [3c 9c Ks]

sick

Date: Sat, Jul 19, 2008 Internet

I'm just sick of this atm. T150, I'm in the big blind with A9s. Some guy limps, and a guy with 600 or so chips shoves. I shove over, and he shows T6. He flops a T. Same tourney, a guy who is short but covers me raises and I shove over with Kh9s. I know I probably don't have fold equity but maybe a tiny bit. He shows A4. I mean, wtf? So the flop comes three hearts, and that gives me 15 cards to win it. Nope.

Other table, threehanded, t150. Retard limps in small blind, I raise decently with A3 in the BB, just wanting a fold. He shoves, I snap it. He has KJ. His play is beyond atrocious but teh poker godz love bad players. He flops a K.

Blah blah blah blah. It's all like that tonight, this month, always. I know that you have ups and downs, but WHERE ARE MY UPS now?

FR Vessant: bets 275 and is all-in

Easy shove. Happily take it down, but if called, I'm going to be a favourite.

Henne23: folds
distroier112: calls 275

He has A8s.

See? He hit top pair and immediately checked it to us. That's what they do. It's wrong no matter what but doubly wrong on a drawy board like this. It's not even that strong of a hand. The limper can easily have a bigger ace.

Well, obviously I didn't actually hit any of those outs. Are you mad?

So I have A8 BvB and the flop comes 988. The other guy has 98. I really think that has to be the nadir.

Nope. Bitches again.
